Information

The ASA license is valid for one calendar year, with the 2025 license expiring on 28 Feb 2026. You can still participate in ASA events using the 2025 license until then. The eligibility period of 2026 ASA licenses will only start on 1 March 2026.
Club running clothes are not included in the BMW running club membership fees for 2026. Information for ordering of running club vests and shirts is available upon request - admin_zarunningclub@bmw.co.za
Membership is open to all individuals
Licenses will be delivered to AGN by early February and you will be notified once licenses are available for collection.

Members need to register for membership yearly.
Follow the steps below to join the BMW running club.

Membership Options:

Unlicensed Membership

Unlicensed members will be regarded as social members and will receive race information and invitations to social events. Please take note that unlicensed members DO NOT receive an ASA license. Unlicensed memberships are FREE of charge. See step 1.

Licensed Membership

Licensed members will receive race information, invitations to social events and an ASA license. Fees for 2026 will amount to R400-00 per member and includes your ASA license. See step 1, 2 & 3.

Step 1

Complete the ASA application and BMW indemnity form

Unlicensed Members & Licensed Members:

Fill in and sign the BMW Group SA Indemnity Form and mail the completed form by clicking the upload button.

Licensed Members:

Fill in and sign the 2026 ASA Permernant License Application Form. Submit the completed form by clicking the upload button.

Additional information for completion of the form:

Province Name: Athletics Gauteng North
Club Name: BMW Running Club
2025 Licence Number: only required if you have a 2025 license number
2026 Licence Number: ASA has not allocated licenses for 2026 so this field must not be completed

Step 2

Make payment (Only for Licensed Members)

Club membership fees for 2026 amount to R400-00 for the year. Club running kit is not included in the BMW running club membership fees for 2026.

Step 3

Update ASA details (Only for Licensed Members)

Existing ASA member registered with another running club:

Contact your existing running club and request to be transferred to the BMW running club
Once you have been transferred, logon to the ASA site (http://asa.saclubs.co.za/) and update the club details to reflect the following:
- Province Name: Athletics Gauteng North
- Club Name: BMW Running Club
Once you have updated the club details on the ASA website, send an email notification to the BMW running club at admin_zarunningclub@bmw.co.za. If proof of payment is received, your club details will be updated

New ASA member:

Access the ASA website http://asa.saclubs.co.za/
Click on Register Now and complete all the relevant information
Under Club Details, use the following information
- Province Name: Athletics Gauteng North
- Club Name: BMW Running Club
Once you submit the application ASA will send an email notification to the BMW running club. If proof of payment is received, your club details will be updated
